New VP Engineering, Djamel Zouaoui, aims to make Tinyclues the go-to platform for predictive CRM

Tinyclues has announced that Big Data expert, Djamel Zouaoui, has joined the company as VP Engineering. His remit is to ensure that the business maintains its edge in data science at a world-leading level, as well as keeping a strong focus on innovation and customer satisfaction.

Zouaoui has extensive experience in agile methodologies and due to his hands-on approach, he has kept incredibly close to the cutting edge of technology, while fulfilling management and mentoring responsibilities.

Before arriving at Tinyclues, Zouaoui had accumulated over 10 years’ experience building scalable and resilient software architecture.

He joined Tinyclues directly from the role of Director of Engineering at Viadeo, the number one professional social networking in France.

Prior to this, Zouaoui occupied key roles at OCTO Technology, where his Big Data expertise positioned the company as one of France’s major big data consultancies. He has an impressive knowledge of NoSQL database architecture which handles some of the world’s biggest data warehouses like Google and Amazon. He also understands the power of distributed computing and especially the new paradigms (like MapReduce, dataflow, lambda architecture, …) that satisfy Big Data’s massive processing needs and helps companies achieve their full potential using data.

Zouaoui’s technical agility and strong track record married with his people skills and management ability will serve him well as he sets out to build tomorrow’s architecture while working hand-in-hand with the Tinyclues product team. His capabilities and reputation will also help Tinyclues to attract and nurture a team of first class engineers.

“I believe people learn and work best in a fun environment, which is what attracted me to the company. Tinyclues provides me and my colleagues with an opportunity to thrive and I’m looking forward to recruiting, whilst implementing the best engineering talent into the company while implementing state-of-the-art agile practices.”

Zouaoui has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from SUPINFO, is a Scala programming language addict and his mantra ‘work hard, play harder’ has served his career well.

Founder and CEO David Bessis commented on this latest hire for Tinyclues: “We are delighted to welcome Djamel to the company, along with his first rate and diverse skills. His verve and good humour are contagious, making him a perfect recruit for our global mission. His advanced technological vision resonates positively with the Tinyclues team and is starting do the same with our customers.”
