Bringing Deep AI to NRF 2018 Retail’s Big Show

26 janvier

The Tinyclues team (now Splio) attended Retail’s Big Show this year in New York City! NRF 2018 is the can’t miss event for international retailers, bringing together over 30,000 attendees and 3000 distributors. Proud to be selected among the innovative start-ups present with Business France, we shared a space with other French tech companies revolutionizing the way retail does business.

More than 100 retailers visited our booth to understand how Tinyclues (now Splio) has been working with leading retailers to grow revenues by an average 49%. One of the key takeaways from these meetings is that the needs are the same no matter the geography: being able to send campaigns with more impact, to stop promoting products not matching customer needs, to automate more in order to face increasing tasks with limited resources and many more.

No surprise here, Artificial Intelligence was a focal conversation topic in the halls of the Javits, from innovative solutions to panel discussions on the future of retail and AI; it’s also been named by many as a takeaway top retail tech trend from this year’s NRF. According to Charlie Cole, Global Chief eCommerce Officer at Samsonite, 2018 is the year that “Artificial Intelligence will have its breakthrough moment. More and more retailers will start using it to power various parts of the retail and ecommerce experience.” Forbes’ highlighted in their coverage on NRF, Retail Tech and Marketing Trends on the Rise for 2018, that “as Artificial Intelligence is maturing, more AI-powered retail applications are gaining adoption.”

Since opening our American offices in New York at the end of last year, we’ve had great feedback from North American retailers who – just like European retailers – are having to face competition from Amazon. With messages received by consumers continuing to rise, conversion rates are starting to stagnate, or even fall. This is where our Deep AI steps in – identifying the future buyers for each offer, brand or product to be promoted and optimizing the campaign agenda.

Our team had the pleasure of sponsoring and attending this year’s Retail French Founders party at Spring Studios. Two hundred French retailers and entrepreneurs joined to listen to Lee McCabe, Vice President North America of Alibaba, share his thoughts on latest retail innovations and trends.

Definitely, NRF 2018 Retail’s Big Show is a must attend event and Tinyclues (now Splio) looks forward to meeting you at NRF 2019!
